Overview
About Coriander
A small bushy herb 25–50 cm tall with a pleasant aroma, native to the Mediterranean and produced commercially in India, Morocco, Russia and the USA. In India it is grown as a rabi crop in frost-free areas where it flowers and sets seed in February.
Applications & Uses
Young leaves flavour and garnish curries and soups; the seeds are key in curry powders, sausages and seasonings, and in food flavourings, bakery and meat products. The oil and oleoresins season sausages and meat products.
